Interview with Alec Lochore. Designing the future - from Scone Palace to the LA Olympics
I had a great chat with Scone Palace’s course designer, Alec Lochore, ahead of their first international horse trials, just round the corner.
Alec tells us about his roll as course designer and getting Scone Palace up, running and ready to welcome a world class field of riders to this stunning location on the banks of the River Tay in Scotland in a weeks time.
We also hear what we have to look forward to at the first running of this really exciting new international fixture.
We also get a few snippets about Scone's course, the challenges he has to overcome when designing these courses all over the world, including being recently appointed as course designer for the LA Olympics in 2028.
From 21-24 August, Scone Palace will be the stunning backdrop for a new & fantastic weekend of world-class eventing, where you'll see all 3 members of the British Gold medal-winning team taking part.
